Our first Johannesburg Women in Bloom will be hosted by Nandi Dlepu co founder of BLOOM and features Upile Chisala, storyteller, sociologist and artist from Malawi. She is the author of two books of poetry, SOFT MAGIC and NECTAR.

We're calling all creative and entrepreneurial woman to come spend the evening with us at our home and offices, Mesh Club situated in Rosebanks' Keyes Art Mile for an evening of poetry and inspiration as we get to know the journey behind Upile's startling career.

On the back of our conversation, we'll be hosting the book signing of her debut book, SOFT MAGIC and copies will be available for purchase as well.

Welcome drinks will be provided.

'soft magic.' is the debut collection of prose and poetry by Malawian writer, Upile Chisala. This book explores the self, joy, blackness, gender, matters of the heart, the experience of Diaspora, spirituality and most of all, how we survive. 'soft magic.' is a shared healing journey.
