ABOUT

Join us for a performance filled with wonderful music and nostalgia as our retiring resident conductor, Bernard Wozny, reflects on 27 years with the Rand Symphony Orchestra.  Bernard, originally from Poland, immigrated to South Africa with his wife and two children in 1975, where he joined the SABC National Symphony Orchestra. The highlight of the performance is Chopin’s 1st Piano Concerto, performed by acclaimed South African pianist, Wessel van Wyk.

  • Mazur (Mazurka) by Stanislaw Moniuszko
  • Morskie Oko (The Sea Eye) by Zygmunt Noskowski
