Willem van der Post, CEO of xTechCapital Partners

Willem van der Post is a qualified chartered accountant, an exponential technology expert and the founder of the Exponential Technology Institute. He is an alumnus of the University of Stellenbosch, University of South Africa, University of Cape Town business school and Singularity university in California, and was one of the world’s first EXO-Works accredited facilitators.

He is a seasoned international keynote speaker who has served a broad array of audiences through illuminating the fundamental impact of exponential technology in the business canvas of the future. Before founding the Exponential Technology Institute, Willem was the managing partner for Deloitte Africa – Center for the Edge; a disruption innovation business with a focus on exponential technology. He is now a strategic advisor to various global fintech platform businesses, and CEO of xTechCapital Partners – a global exponential enterprise investment firm.

Ndivhuwo Makondo, Research Scientist in Machine Learning at IBM Research

Ndivhuwo Makondo is a Research Scientist in Machine Learning at IBM Research in the South Africa Lab and a Visiting Lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the University of the Witwatersrand. He holds a BSc and an MSc (specializing in Robotics) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town; and a PhD in Computational Intelligence and Systems Science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. He began his career on a Masters Studentship at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in 2011, South Africa, in the Mobile Intelligent Autonomous Systems (MIAS) group, where he conducted research for the Mining Safety Platform project. He then enrolled for a PhD at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2013 through the Japanese MEXT scholarship, conducting research in Machine Learning and Robotics, where investigated the acceleration of robot learning of motor skills with knowledge transfer.

As an Edupreneur, her current focus is on empowering young minds through instilling self-mastery and the entrepreneurial mindset as a non-negotiable for all young adults who face a future characterised by rapid change in technological advancements, disruptions in all sectors and the general “rules of engagement” in the world of work.

Colin Iles, CEO, Equinox Leadership and Innovation Centre

Colin Iles is a Managing Principle at Absa Group Limited, CEO of The Equinox Leadership and Innovation Centre, a founding board member of UCT’s African Institute of Financial Markets and Risk Management and the Global Ambassador for Open ExO, a crowdsourced consultancy that helps leadership teams build exponential organisations.
