This year we once again invite you to attend our ‘Rising Stars’ Youth Concert at the Linder Auditorium in Parktown.
On Sunday afternoon, 9 June 2019, the Rand Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Carel Henn, will proudly host 10 superbly talented Rising Stars in our annual Youth Concert at the Linder Auditorium. We know that, once again, you will be enthralled at their musicality, skill and passion.
The Orchestra will open the concert with Dvorak’s Slavonic Dance No. 1. Our young stars, who range from the ages of 8 to 17, will then present a scintillating performance, with works by Saint-Saëns, Gluck and Mozart, Beethoven, Fauré and Sarasate – and many more! Their remarkable talents will be showcased on piano, clarinet, flute, violin and ‘cello.
