The Rare Diamond Awards have been created to recognise excellence in advancement of overall healthcare, treatment and support offered by all those working within the Rare Diseases space in South Africa as well as individuals that have made a positive impact on the rare disease community. No such national awards exist within the healthcare sector, with entries welcomed from a wide range of patients, caregivers, industry partners and fellow healthcare professionals.

The Rare Diamond Awards will be attended by some of the leading healthcare professionals and healthcare academia in SA, as well as national newspaper editors, health editors and leading consumer titles. Other guests will include patients, support groups, industry members, and representatives of PR companies as well as organ of state representatives.
