ABOUT
On Sunday afternoon, 4 June 2017, the Rand Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Carel Henn, will proudly host 14 superbly talented Rising Stars in our annual Youth Concern at the Linder Auditorium. We know that you will be awed and inspired by their talent and musicality.The varied and fascinating programme includes works by Bach, Vivaldi, Haydn, Mozart, Mercadante, Hummel, Saint-Saëns, Grieg, Rieding, Rimsky-Korsakov, Popper and Kabalevsky performed on violin, cello, flute, trumpet, horn, trombone and piano.
This will be an afternoon of marvelous music – joyful, contemplative, light-hearted and exciting – performed by fabulous young musicians.
