ABOUT

This #TechTalkCPT event looks in detail at what it is like to live in the most hostile continent known to man for a year.

For the past 54 years, South Africa has sent down a group of 10 individuals. This talk covers Antarctica, South Africa's involvement on the continent, and focuses on the scientific instruments maintained during the year. Daleel Lilla will be speaking to us about his experience, his work and photography done whilst on Antartica.

#TechTalkCPT happens one evening every month, where we bring you the bleeding edge of technology, science and innovation as presented by specialists within a field, accompanied by drinks and networking.

DALEEL LILLA

Daleel Lilla is currently an Engineer with the EDA division of the South African National Space Agency. He's recently returned from a year long expedition in Antarctica, where he was responsible for the SuperDARN Radar. When he isn't focused on electronics, he's honing in on his photography skills.
