ABOUT

February's #TechTalkCPT focuses on Tech and Innovation in Art and Design. At the start of the month we had the lovely James Webb and Ralph Borland telling us bout their experience in the industry, now as a special surprise we are delighted to announce our first international guest for the year Klasien van de Zandschulp.

Klasien will shortly present storytelling projects through mobile technology, like the social network for Dutch paintings from the 17th Century, location based audio platform HearUsHere (http://www.hearushereapp.com/) and the social music game DuoDisco.

We end with a short workshop where you’ll be able to create your own audio story on objects using iBeacons.
Bring your headphones because part of the evening we will get ready to find dance partners through DuoDisco: a mobile pop up disco on your smartphone.

Klasien is an interaction designer based in Amsterdam. She designs the way people interact with, and use their digital environment by creating usable interfaces and interactions in (public) spaces. Her work focuses on interactive storytelling and wearable technology. She works as an independent designer and at Lava Lab as a Sr. interaction designer and curator Technology & Design.

KAT-O's #TechTalkCPT happens one evening every month, where we bring you the bleeding edge of technology, science and innovation as presented by specialists within a field, accompanied by food, drinks and networking.

Her latest projects are ‘iPerform’, that takes you on a physical expedition through the Van Gogh museum and the art education program #GoldenAge, that allows a young museum audience to chat with the 17th Century portraits from the collection of Amsterdam Museum and Rijksmuseum.

"I always work together with other artists, designers, developers, musicians. Please contact me for any questions or new opportunities!" - Klasien van de Zandschulp
