Help disabled build career

Hi everyone

I am Elrise Philander, I'm a 35 year old quadriplegic woman. I live in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

I wasn't born this way but got hit by a car when I was around 7 years of age. I've been trying all my life to achieve my goals and to make something of my life but due to the seriousness of my accident I struggled alot to do that. I got hospitalized alot during my childhood and teenage years and caused me to drop out of school. I wasn't happy about the fact that I was a high school dropout so I decided to pursue my goal in getting my education. I tried everything from going to night school to get a matric certificate and college to do computer programming but it was either one or the other problem. I either had transport problem or it was too difficult for me to do without my matric certificate and most of the places turned me away but mostly because of accessibility. Also we couldn't pay for online studies because we didn't have enough money to pay for it, seeing that my accident case didn't pay out much and the lawyers who handled my case are all gone.

Luckily I heard from a friend about free courses for disabled persons and applied but wasn't successful the first time, only when I applied for the second time with the help from my occupational therapist I got in February 2017 to February 2018. I re-applied for another course on Business Practice know if I'll be accepted again due to my age. In the meantime I'm keeping myself busy with writing and I've also joined a group of disabled people just like me who have no career and are keeping ourselves busy with arts n crafts and also trying to provide and extra income which isn't working out that well.

I am good at writing and hope to build a career as a writer. I have a problem with my hands and my writing so I use a laptop to do the work but sadly my laptop is broken and can't be fixed. I have written a few plays for our church and something to help our community which is suffering from gangsterism as well as writing to rolling inspiration. I am currently working on writing a book about myself and my experience as a disabled person also other people living with a disability. I would like to place this book at every library in our communities in order to educate people about disability because I have found that the people from around here knows so little about this. I request that you please help me in raising R6400 to buy a laptop soon as possible so I can start perusing my dreams.. I also urgently need a quality support cushion for my bum seeing that had pressure sore a few times and I'm also worried this may affect the only kidney I have left as apposed to frequent infections caused by the pressure of sitting in the wheelchair for long
