Wits University is on a mission to inspire Africa’s next generation of Digital Entrepreneurs. We aim to make Braamfontein South Africa’s best place for growing tomorrow’s digital skills and turning brilliant ideas into great real-world businesses.

• is an invitation to all Wits students and their friends. There is something for everyone. Artists, writers, creators, entrepreneurs, business people, lawyers, medics, educators, engineers, scientists … and anyone else. Digital experts and digital novices.  Extroverts and strong silent types. There are opportunities for all to engage in the world of digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
• will introduce you to “The DIZ” – Wits University’s brand new Digital Innovation Zone in the heart of Braamfontein, Joburg’s most exciting and dynamic inner-city neighbourhood. The DIZ is part of the Tshimologong Precinct, the University’s major initiative that aims to bring the Digital Revolution to Joburg.
• starts on Wednesday 29 July 2015 with lunch-time tours of The DIZ. There will be a Learnathon on the weekend of 8-9 August. “Student App Challenge” will give innovators and entrepreneurs a chance to flex their creative muscles and win some great prizes over the weekends of 15-16 August and 22-23 August.
