King David Linksfield Virtual Run/Walk 4 Good

King David Linksfield High School is proud to announce that on the Sun-Tues, 12-14 July we will be hosting a Virtual Run/Walk 4 Good. There will be 4 events:

• 3km Walk/Run R50 entry
• 5km Walk/Run R50 entry
• 10km Walk/Run R50 entry
• 21km Run R50 entry

After purchasing your ticket register a free account on www.strava.com, go to the Clubs tab and search for King David High School Virtual Run 4 Good select the event that you wish to do. If you already a Strava user go to https://www.strava.com/clubs/695312 and join, then select your event.

During the year the school partners with numerous front line charities doing awesome work for the less privileged. Due to the Covid19 pandemic and the schools being shut some of these of these causes have not been able to get much needed donations to fund their brilliant work. One of these is the Khyelitsha Project For Kids, a shelter that feeds former and current street kids. This event 50% of funds raised will go to Khyelitsha Project For Kids to ensure they can still fund their high impact work with children in the townships. The balance of the funds raised will be allocated to the KDL Interact Committee who will distribute to a host of other worthy causes that the school has supported over the years. None of these funds will be going to the school. Our sponsor will pickup all the costs associated with using the Quicket platform to issue the tickets and collect the money.
