Tumi Pheko is a young trumpeter hailing from the Eastern Cape.He has a stylistic approach that bares the influence of musical greats such as Feya Faku, Miles Davis, Hugh Masekela, Clifford Brown and Bheki Mseleku, while remaining personal and unique.
His take on music speaks to a broader audience base, fusing elements and sounds of a new generation while echoing on traditions of the past. His creativity, spontaneity and versatility has allowed him to share the stage with varying Award Winning artists and ensembles including Nduduzo Makhathini, MiCasa, Black Coffee, Slick Angel, Feya Faku, Mxo and many others.
