ABOUT
Music of the Soil is a collaboration of three remarkable musicians.Dave Reynolds is a multi-award winning composer, steelpan player and acoustic guitarist. He has performed and recorded all over the world with Tony Cox, Andy Narell, Hugh Masekela, Steve Newman and many others. His new album "The Light of Day" has been recently nominated for a SA Music Award.
Based in New York, Tony Cedras played accordion, guitar & trumpet in Paul Simon's band for 28 years. He has also performed and recorded with Cassandra Wilson and Harry Belafonte and has recently released a new album "Love Letter to Cape Town".
Singer songwriter-bassist Sylvain Baloubeta is considered one of the Congo's finest exports. He sings in Lingala and French and can often be heard with Neo Muyanga (from Blk Sonshine) and the Frank Paco Art Ensemble.
