ABOUT

Join Epic and Brian Sango for an evening discussing Affordable Housing. Having broken into the real estate world at 19, Brian boasts just over 10 years of sales experience specializing on positive cash flow properties nationwide particularly in the inner city of Johannesburg.

He heads up a Property Sales company called Property Made Easy, he is also the Sales Manager (African Region) of a global PropTech Company Property Inspect. Wait there is more, Brian is an active property investor and is also part of the head committee of SAIBPP Western Cape Chapter which is the South African Institute Of Black Property Practitioners as his keen interest is in empowering and creating opportunities for others within the sector. All this is why he has now decided to also start actively speaking to a number of property enthusiasts so as to encourage people to shift their mindsets and see the endless possibilities in property as an investment.

Our second guest speaker of the evening is CEO of Similian, Harold Spies. The Build-To-Rent market is growing in South Africa. As lead development manager, Harold specialises in the conceptualisation, design, delivery and management of new-built neighbourhoods, essentially developing the brand. He provides strategic advice and project leadership to various clients (particularly around the emerging build-to-rent (BTR) sector), PropTech, placemaking and sustainable urban development. Similan’s clients include multi-national financial services companies like Old Mutual PLC, Sanlam, as well as PfP Capital, FNB, Mettle, Urban Impact Properties and others.

Harold certainly has the academic and practical know-how to successfully navigate the world of real estate, including a BSc Honours in Construction Management from the University of Pretoria, an MBA (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch University and years of experience both in South Africa and internationally.

Even more important are his dual driving forces of creativity and the desire to change the way people live, for the better.

The evening will also give you the opportunity to network with other property investors, the EPiC team, and Power Team members.

This is the first of many exciting EPiC Events throughout 2020! Join us to hear more about the plans for the year ahead from the EPiC South Africa Director, Grant Smee.
