XCO Series 2020 WC Series 2

ABOUT

 The Western Province Mountain Biking Commission (WPMTBC) was established with the support of Cycling South Africa and aims to serve the mountain biking community in the Western Cape. The WPMTBC will be hosting the 2nd Western Cape XCO event at Rhebokskloof, Paarl on 14 March 2020. XCO (Cross Country Olympic) is the only format in mountain biking that is an Olympic discipline and consists of lap racing around a short, technical circuit.

The course consists of a mix of rough paths, single-track, smooth fire roads and rock gardens. Registered riders can qualify for Western Cape provincial colours, if they meet all the racing criteria. It is a one-day event and the amount of laps depends on the age category. Racing start times are throughout the day, dependent on which age category you are racing.
