Untitled Basement presents The Ayanda Sikade Quintet
featuring Nduduzo Makhathini (Piano), Tebogo Mokoena (Sax)
Siyanda Zulu (Trumpet) and Nhlanthla Rhadebe (Bass).
This concert is a culmination of friendship that connects the dots through musical collaborations over the past decade, Ayanda Sikade's list of collaborations reads like an African Jazz constellation, though the drummer/artist has transcended genre's through the years, he's reputation as one of THE finest South African jazz drummers proves his commitment to the jazz movement. Occasionally Ayanda Sikade takes the lead to perform his own compositions with collaborators, we are honoured to host this once in a blue moon performance in the basement. The stellar line up will be a treat to all live music enthusiast.
Maria McCloy will play her signature eclectic DJ sets during the interval and after the bands second set.

The Band performs two sets of +/- 45minutes with a break in between.
