About the Event:              

For those who want to experience more connection with Buddhism please join us for teachings on Going for Refuge in which Buddhist Refuge Vows will be explained. There will be an opportunity to take Mahayana Refuge vows followed by two teachings sessions, to help take the understanding of the importance of the Refuge to heart.

(Taking the vows is not a pre requisite)

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Schedule:       

Refuge Course: 09:30 – 11:00

Refuge Vow Ceremony 11:30 – 12: 30 

Teaching 1 - 14: 00 – 15:15 (Jon R 80 pre booked, R 100 at the door)

Teachings 2 - 15:45 - 17:00 (Jon R 80 pre booked, R 100 at the door)

R200 online/ R 250 at the door.

Refreshments will be served. Lunch own account, restaurants available in the centre.

About the Teacher:   

Gen Kelsang Mila was ordained in 2010 and has been Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre’s resident teacher since September 2010. She is greatly appreciated as a meditation teacher and is especially known for her clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. Her teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through her gentle and joyful approach and peaceful example, she has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.

Prices at the door:

Please take note that there will be an additional charge of R20 per session and R50 on the whole event if you purchase tickets at the door on the day of the event.
