ABOUT

Cape Town Craft Club's Monthly Meet Ups are aimed at getting creative people in the city together to craft in a chilled and judgement-free space once a month. Each month we will focus on a different craft and spend the evening chatting, drinking, and making something just for the fun of it. This session is hosted by fibre artist and teacher Andie Reeves.

For February's Meet Up we'll be hand sewing patches! Fabric, thread, felt, needles and hoops are provided to use during the meet up. Bring a picture or idea you'd like to turn into a patch, but our pattern library of embroidery designs will be available for you to use too if you need some inspiration.

Join if you

  • want to meet other cool people who make stuff
  • want to commit to making time to be creative and make more
  • would like to work amongst others who inspire and encourage you
  • are keen to join a community of local makers
  • crave a creative outlet from your regular job
  • just want to spend an evening creating something beautiful with your hands

Please note: This is not a workshop space but rather a craft session for people who already know what they’re doing but need some inspiration/guidance/advice/gossip/biscuits while doing it. Andie will be available for guidance, reminders and advice but you should have some knowledge of embroidery/hand sewing already.

This Meet Up takes place in Artsauce, Cape Town's best art supply store,.
