Help The SPIRIT Train and support Khaya

ABOUT

The Spirit Train is a massively-exciting and challenging art project bound for the desert plains of Tankwa Town.

This is a beautiful marriage of uniquely skilled artisans, creatives, blacksmiths, graffiti artists, event planners, designers & other amazing talented artists that have been working hammer & nail to bring their expansive imagination to life, in the form of a large mutant vehicle.

As you can imagine a large product like this doesn't come cheap and in order for us to return in 2020 we need your help.

We are in the final stages of our fund raising and we are looking to raise R80,000 and we are excited to announce that R20,000 of the funds raised will be going directly into Khaya's fund.

For those of you that don't know about Khaya. During the course of our project we were involved in a near-fatal accident with an under-privileged child by the name of Khaya. Although not to blame for the accident we couldn’t help but feel for the child’s inadequate living conditions, lack of medical care and love from his family – who are at this moment living underneath a bridge in Salt River.

We gave him a pair of shoes after the accident, but that just seem enough and the Spirit Train project started a fund to pay for his schooling and prepare him for when he graduates, which currently has R30k in the pot which is being held in trust.

We hope to show him the love he has not felt from his family and give him the opportunity of a better life through our original encounter that terrible day. We have embraced the deeper sense of community by also donating our time and money where possible to set up a mini kitchen and feed the homeless.

We hope this project will extend beyond an art car, and impact further on other people’s lives.
