After an incredible performance with Nick Turner on 25 Jan 2019, a fre concert courtesy of Six Dogs, we have been beggging the both to come back. Jamie is up first on Sat 11 Jan (Nick is coming up in March)

Jamie we have all been waiting and are so excited to welcome you back AND for your album launch of "First Team Daydream".

“First Team Daydream,” is Jupiter’s second album and is the fruit of many years of writing and re-writing, composing and reworking his finely crafted songs. The eclectic genre of the album, which ranges from folk and jazz to blues and reggae, is a reflection of Jupiter’s versatility as a musician. Legendary singer songwriter Robin Auld recorded and produced this work and is releasing it through his label Shoreline Songs. This album has been a work in progress for several years and began with collaborations with respected guitar guru Willem Moller who recorded some songs at an earlier stage in the process. Jamie Jupiter plays guitar, bass, harmonica, percussion and vocals. some fabulous guest artists contributed to certain songs on the album namely: Buddy Wells on Sax, Rayelle Goodman- violin, Jonno Sweetman- drums and Jonny Blundell-guitar, Gene Kierman- French horn, Joe Van der Linden-bass and Nick Turner on guitar and backing vocals.

The album’s general theme is of dreams; moving from a state of wakefulness into the dream state and back to reality again. Each song speaks of dreams and aspirations, visions and states of longing. The completion of the album is a long awaited dream come true.

Inspired by John Lennon in many ways, Jamie explains: “I was so good at daydreaming in my school years I could have made the team, if there was a team for daydreamers. Later in life, I discovered I wasn’t the only one!”

Jamie Jupiter Biography:

Jamie Jupiter is a soulful multi-instrumentalist. His sound combines a rich soothing voice with guitar, harmonica and ethnic instruments to create a deep, diverse easy-listening experience. There is a quirky edge to his thought-provokingly poetic ballads and bluesy, afro-folk riffs. Jamie is an accomplished musician, with over 20 years of professional performance behind him. He has no trouble pulling out great versions of familiar jazz/pop standards, folk-blues and legendary country material to keep the crowd on their toes. His career began in the 90’s as the guitarist in a legendary glam- rock art band, The Honeymoon Suites. He has since performed with an array of top class musicians around the world: From a Contemporary Dance show, where he played a range of African Instruments to a Country cabaret and an Afrikaans folk trio. Awards include: Fleur du Cap award for Best Cabaret “Angels on Horseback,” and a SAMA nomination this year for Best Contemporary Afrikaans Album, with Luna Page and Nick Turner.
