ABOUT

Calling all small business women!

So you have started a business, what now?

Your first year in business can be scary, overwhelming and stressful! You are trying to build a dream, while understanding how to manage a group of clients, set up your business the right way for tax and also how budget and pay your bills!

Who is this workshop for?

All women in business that have a newly registered company or have started as a freelancer or sole proprietor. If you have a new business, this is the workshop for you

What do we cover in this workshop?

We start by explaining the differences between a registered company and a sole proprietor, and which set up is the best one for you.

What records do you need to keep, what do you need to do for income and expenses reports for SARS and what you should be looking at for your own reporting. We discuss basic tax requirements.

How do you invoice, what is a statement, how to work with debt management and cashflow, and how to deal with customers that don’t pay.

Bank loans, overdrafts, business credit cards; what to do about applying for finance. Lets also chat about pricing

Lets set up your goals for the next 12 months. And how to ensure you are building a business, not just working like your own employee!

We include a budget and cashflow template, and discuss the basic understanding of financial statements.

The goal of the workshop is to take you from your new business, smoothly into year 2!
