If there was ever a day to honor the love and pleasure of our earthly existence, it is the Summer Solstice. On this midsummer day, the fullness of your being is reflected by the fullness of sun during the Summer Solstice. As we synchronize with the seasonal apogee and amplify it in the communal ceremonial dance, it prompts a revolution from within. 

5.10 We gather on Sunrise Beach, Muizenberg, to receive headphones. Wear layers of clothing that can be eventually shed.

5.20 Pranayama (Soma) breath work facilitated by Brett Powell (Gabrial Magnifesta) to raise kundalini, your life force energy, amplified by the rising sun (5.28 am sunrise).

5.40 - 7.30 Conscious Dance

6.10-6.30 Horovod ceremony. The ancient tradition of Horovod dance is an East Slavic and pagan art form and one of the oldest dances of Russia. We will dance through the Solstice (6.19 am) with the strings, representing our individual positive intentions for the year ahead and, in dance, weaving them into a tapestry of communal wisdom, magnifying the conditions for powerful positive transformation for each of us. 7.30 - 8.00 Let the Waters of the Ocean purify your body and intentions! Or simply have a swim :)

8.30 - 10.30 join us for vegetarian breakfast and sharing of spiritual intentions around the fire with Brett Powell (at Nadia’s house)

What to bring: swimwear, towels (the water is yummy in False Bay) and something warm to wear and sit on. One candle, a flower and/or fruit as an offering if you can. We will have extra.

Directions: drive on M5 (Prince George Drive) towards Muizenberg. At the end of M5 there is a round about, take 2nd exit towards the beach. There is ample parking available. On Google maps you can either look for “False Bay Surf Lifesaving Club” or enter coordinates (34°06'11.3"S 18°29’06.6”E). When you are parked, face the ocean and walk to the left for 100 m. We will be there dancing!

Note: the number of tickets is limited. The ticket includes headphones, facilitated breathwork, breakfast, fascilitated intention circle. There will be ticket sales at the beach, R190, cash only.
