Arthur Kisenyi adapts Charles Dickens' novel for the Kampala stage. set in present-day Kampala the play a Christmas carol recounts the story of a miserly yet rich Kampala money lender Joseph Kawooya who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas past present and Christmas yet to come. after their visits Kawooya is transformed into a kinder gentler man.
