ABOUT
This is a fun, engaging & valuable up-skill experience for people who clean homes for a living. This intensive day is designed to inform, inspire and empower the participants as they learn ‘why’ & ‘how’ to keep a greener home that also improves work satisfaction, saves money & is relevant to their own lives and wellbeing too.
We will cover:
1. Basic environmental science & Nature connection
2. Humans impact on the planet
3. Electricity, energy and alternatives – How to save electricity & save money!
4. Being Water Wise in our Water scarce country
5. The global problem of waste & Local solutions
Reducing, Re-using and Recycling.
Eco bricks – The what, why and how!
Food Waste & Composting
6. A Toxic Chemical free home – better for you, your pocket and the planet!
How to make you own simple, effective & affordable cleaning products ( DIY)
Created (in 2012) and facilitated by Jade Khoury, experienced adult education teacher and Owner of Low Impact Living and the LIL waste-free Grocer & Café in Glencairn.
Includes: A Wholesome meal & refreshments, the Eco Housekeeping booklet, a certificate of attendance.
• Duration: 8:30am -5:30pm (OR can be split into separate 2 days on request)
• Cost: 650 (Free for anybody who organizes this in their area/home with 8+ Participants) Every 5 participants creates 1 gifted space!

• We need 6+ participant’s minimum and 12 Maximum. Bigger groups can be accommodated with some extra planning.
