Christmas with Johannesburg Bach Choir
It's time for the Johannesburg Bach Choir's annual Christmas concert. This year, we'll be hosting it on Sunday 1 December, at 17h00 (5.00pm) at the Bryanston Catholic Church in Sandton. This is an occasion to bring the whole family. Apart from the musical presentations by the JBC, there'll be plenty of opportunity to join in the singing yourself with some of your favourite carols. Our musical director, Tim Roberts, will once again be at the helm of recently expanded choir, and accompanist Ruth Coggin will provide some Christmas tunes on the organ.
The concert will be followed by our usual scrumptious tea - this time with a Christmas flavour.
And the best news is that entrance is free!
This year, we are asking you to contribute, via a donation on this platform, to our Leipzig tour in June 2020 for the world-renowned Leipzig Bach Festival. Our choir will be the only one from Africa to be represented at this prestigious gathering of Bach Choir from around the world. Many of our members have asked for financial assistance to enable them to do the tour, and your generous support will mean we can help them. Just fill in the amount you wish to contribute in the "donate" block and it will be actioned via your choice of payment type.
Please reserve your seat (free of charge) on Quicket, so we know how many people to cater for, and make a Leipzig donation at the same time.
