ABOUT

Awaken the innate spring in your step with this workshop focusing on techniques to bring natural movement back to your feet and lower legs. Through practical anatomy, movement and self release techniques we will explore running with more ease from the ground up.

The recent global movement towards more natural movement and the integration of different somatic practises, has sparked deeper interest and exploration into the small spaces of the body. She has discovered new ways to unwind the ill effects of our modern lifestyle on our body's natural function.

This workshop will give you the tools to run more freely.


About Karyn Marais

Karyn Marais is a body alignment therapist and yoga/movement teacher and endurance athlete.

She is passionate about exploring balance between effort and ease in movement and life. Her work is grounded in what she has both understood and embodied through 20 years of using various manual therapy modalities. Karyn started yoga 20 years ago, completed intensive training as a teacher with Yoga Campus in London, and has been teaching for 12 years.


Karyn runs a very busy bodywork practise in Fish Hoek, and teaches classes, workshops and short courses. In her free time you will find her running minimalist on the mountain trails, or with her family catching waves.


About the Venue


ReUnion at Rocklands is the perfect environment this kind of training as we have a variety of outdoor spaces. As well as the beautiful Greenhouse studio, we everything from lawn, to pebbles to mountain trails literally on the doorstep.
