At two invitation-only briefings next week, in Cape Town and Johannesburg, Heavy Chef will release the results of the largest and most comprehensive study into the learning habits of entrepreneurs in South Africa ever conducted. The 2019 Edition will mark the first of what will be an inaugural study to track the state of entrepreneur education in the country.
Heavy Chef partnered with payment specialists, Yoco, research firm, In On Africa (IOA), EdTech investment fund, Glengarry Capital and co-working collective, Workshop17 to map-out the attitudes, perceptions and preferences of entrepreneurs about topics such as:
- Sources and methods of learning
- Current and future skills and knowledge gaps
- Learning content and delivery of content
- Influences and support structures
- Social factors that impact learning
With just over 4,000 entrepreneurs from all over South Africa studied over an 8 month period, the findings will aim to bring planning and investments into entrepreneur education more in line with the real-world wants and needs of local entrepreneurs.
