Omni Yoni: Soften

Thu Nov 21, 19:00 - Thu Nov 21, 21:00

Wild Thing Yoga & Body Conditioning Studio, Sea Point, Cape Town

ABOUT

We invite you to step out of your mind and into your body.

Where you allow yourself to soften into your skin,

In a supported and safe space,

Feeling your way through all the parts of you with breath and awareness,

and loving compassion,

Resting in the ebb and flow of your inhale and exhale.

We will gather together to connect more deeply and compassionately with ourselves and all that arises in our bodies when we invite our breath in to create more space – to feel, to release, to observe and hold. These spaces are created with a lot of love and safety to hold and support you.

Amy May Roux and Chelsea Mcluckie will guide the evening with the intention to soften more into who we are, relaxing our nervous systems using breath-work practices and yin yoga, as well as allowing ourselves to be seen and heard with other women in a relating practice. We will close the evening with sharing circle and nourishing treats from ThankGoodness.

About your facilitators:

Amy May Roux from Omni Yoni:

Amy May Roux has been committed to transformational work since 2014. Her curiosity to experience a richer quality to life and in her relationships guided her to grow and learn more about herself with compassion and vulnerability. She did an apprenticeship with her former teacher Juliet Haines (Sexual Awakening for Women by Dr. Shakti Malan) intimately for 2 years, assisting in facilitation of her women’s retreats and workshops. From there her love to support women/men on their journey's expanded, as she had seen and felt the beauty and gifts from the "work" reflected in her world. Omni Yoni was created in 2017 with the intention to create spaces for women (and now men) where they could explore authenticity, intimacy and vulnerability. The practices allow men and women to feel supported, loved and truly seen for who they are in a safe space. Amy offers private one on one and group sessions, inspired by Dr.Shakti Malan's teachings, as well as a variety of other embodiment practices and trainings she has learnt from over the years. She also offers private therapeutic massage with the intention to relax the nervous system in the fast paced modern day world.

Testimonials:

"Amy is one of those beings whose description seemingly cannot be done justice by mere words. But nevertheless, I shall try.

Her ocean of empathy and compassion allow her to be right there with you, feeling what you're feeling, experiencing what you're experiencing, relating and understanding on all levels. A sister, a friend. Yet her deep wisdom and connectedness mean she is even more than that: a teacher, a healer. She creates a safe space and within that guides you to discover and embrace your own truths and emotions, your own self. So that you may be vibrantly and completely free and alive.”

"Amy's soft, gentle, skilled facilitation allows even the most apprehensive person to feel safe and comfortable enough to participate in individual and group work/play. She creates a safe environment that supports inquiry into self exploration while being conscious and sensitive to the individuals personal pace."

“Amy has a gentle and intuitive nature, holding a space with respect and sacredness. Her presence creates a warm and safe atmosphere, as if held by Mother Earth herself. Her intuitive nature and empathy allows and accepts the individual and the space as it is and is able to guide with a clear head and heart.”

Chelsey Mcluckie:

Chelsey has a deep understanding of meditation, mindfulness and yoga that have been the platform of reflection and inward looking for her journey. These stepping-stones have leveraged her into a healthier and happier life. Throughout her teaching journey, she has witnessed many people come into greater alignment with themselves through these practices of self-mastery. "Yoga, meditation and mindfulness lead you down a path of self-discovery and fine-tuned awareness. They provide you with the tools to break free from the restrictions and limitations of the mind. This can only lead us to believe that it isn’t just a workout, rather a work-in." Chelsey offers private one on one yoga sessions for beginners and advanced yogis, as well as group yoga classes in Cape Town. She also holds events and workshops combining yoga, meditation, mindfulness, breathwork and full moon rituals.

Testimonials:

"Chelsey’s biggest gift is the way she holds her space. Her energy seems to fill every corner of the room she’s teaching in. Every class is guided with such effortless confidence, one seems to forget where you are. Chels has an amazing gift of healing, her intentions she sets in each class help you shift and heal- even if you think you didn’t need to. Her insight and knowledge of the practice is quite remarkable, and extends so much further than just the asana. A truly seasoned yoga teacher, Chelsey is a true gift to the yoga community in Cape Town. A rare find "

"Chelsea’s yin classes are the most amazing yin classes I have ever tried. She has the sweetest and most calm voice which could be recorded and listened to every day to bring peace of mind. I feel rejuvenated and refreshed after her yin classes! Thank you Chelsea for such a wonderful yoga experience in your classes thus far. I look forward to many more!"

"The last three years of my life were loud and distracted. I was operating in a constant state of chaos and simply the idea of being still or silent inspired a wave of anxiety.

Chelsea's beginners yoga course, her vinyasa flows and her teachings gave me the space and the encouragement to learn how to embrace my inner stillness and silence.

Chelsey brought me back to myself, and for that I am sincerely grateful"

We look forward to meeting and being with you. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

With love,

Amy & Chelsey
