ABOUT

Freshlyground live at The Cape Farmhouse in Scarborough

Due to public demand, Freshlyground will follow this performance with a second show on the 21st of March at the Cape Farmhouse in Scarborough.

The band has decided to once again make this event available as a fundraising platform for the Cape Fire cause, this time with the proceeds being donated to EVS (Emergency Volunteer Services), an NGO entity raising funds for the Disaster Management Volunteer Corps in the Far South who provide coordinated community response and relief to all means of emergency & disaster management needs from fire and flooding to rescue and urban displacement. EVS volunteers played a crucial role in recent the collaborative fire fighting efforts that contained one of the worst fires to hit the Deep South in 15 years.

Freshlyground urges the public to purchase the pre-sale ticket option that includes a CapeFire donation while securing their spot for the Cape Farmhouse performance. R20 of each of these purchased tickets will be donated to the EVS. The donation will be contributing towards their initiative to design, build and equip a multipurpose disaster vehicle including the purchase of specialised mass medical care and rescue equipment. EVS still need to raise R500,000.00 for this initiative, and Freshlyground’s performance at the Cape Farmhouse holds the potential to raise R30,000.00 through ticket sales to go towards this worthy cause.
