Liesbeek River fun walk

From source to sea: there is no substitute for water.

The Watershed Project aims to raise public awareness about water as a scarce and precious natural resource that allows ordinary South Africans to engage with all things water.

Come join the Friends of the Liesbeek for a fun and educational walk (or run) along the picturesque path either side of the Liesbeek River.

The leasuirly 4km route starts at the corner of Observatory Road and Leisbeek Ave and heads south along the paths of the Leisbeek before turning around at the pedestrian bridge at the Rosebank Park and returning along the other side of the river. Educational information posters, passionate and knowledgeable marshals will get you round the route safely and that much more informed and appreciative about the wonder of water.
