ABOUT THE PERFORMER: A true triple-threat, Carmen Pretorius has taken the world by storm after being plucked from Johannesburg obscurity with her casting as Gabriella in Pieter Toerien’s international touring production of High School Musical, chosen via the television programme. Since, she has gone on to quickly prove herself as having what it takes to be South Africa’s newest leading lady, touring the world in the hit musical Jersey Boys and more. We’re thrilled to have her join us for an intimate night at Parlo(u)r Songs in her very first solo cabaret as she passes through Cape Town before heading back out with The Sound of Music, now leading the production as Maria! Pretorius has a truly exciting versatile voice, equally home in classical as she is in belting musical theatre.
THE NIGHT: Parlo(u)r Songs is a brand new once-a-month one-night-only event that takes you straight to the great classic cabaret spaces of the Cafe Carlyle, Feinstein's and 54 Below in the heart of Manhattan, giving audiences an intimate night with leading artists from the stage and music worlds, live from the middle of the De Waterkant.
