Plant People Jhb presents an evening of belly laughs and conscious comedy as we take a chance to let our hair down and have a good laugh at ourselves.
We welcome stand up comedian Andrew Mack with a totally irreverent, possibly irrelevant and hell-of-a-rant fun show for us on the 25th of September at our community healing centre in Cresta.
Andrew Mack is an up and coming comedian with a fondness for plant medicine, saving the planet and filthy humour. He was born in the UK, but has spent most of his life in South Africa, where he paid little to no attention in school, learning early on he would rather listen to the sound of his own voice, than listen to his teachers.
His angry, self-deprecating and cutting style, will leave you either laughing, gasping or blinded, or maybe all of these things. He has an emphasis on misdirection and highlights cultural stereotypes to remind us not to take ourselves too seriously.
You can catch him in the clubs on the South African comedy scene or on Mildly Disappointed, a conversational podcast with a comedic take on consciousness, personal-development, ego, psychedelics and everything in between. He chats with comedians, coaches, ecologists, plant medicine people and a bunch of other interesting folk!

Andrew Mack will be using comedy to help us take a good look at ourselves and how not to take ourselves so seriously.
Even amidst a possible impending apocalypse, how do we navigate the annoying problem of being human? Why do we still need to do the dishes and pay taxes when we should really be om chanting and planting trees?
As we reach new heights of uber consciousness-ness why does the universe keep f*cking with us, handing us mundane challenges and forcing us to examine layers of personal bullshit we thought we had sorted out years ago? What's up with that?
There are two ticket options, a standard entry at R70 or a upgraded ticket that includes a delicious vegan meal for R 135.00.
You may want to eat after the event, as we are not too sure how this show will go. (Joke!) We are looking forward to having fun together, vendors will also be on site with some interesting organic goodies so please bring cash in case.
