Valiant Swart is an Afrikaans folk/rock singer from Wellington, South Africa. He currently resides in Stellenbosch, South Africa. He has written and sung in English and Afrikaans.
Swart is much, much more than just another singer/songwriter, rocker or folkie. He is a poet who offers his poetry in musical form. Although he has written and sung English and Afrikaans, it is in Afrikaans that he is at his most expressive. He pushed the boundaries and took Afrikaans to new levels by expressing it through folk and rock music.
