Absolute Pets "Paws on the Promenade" dog walk

Join us for a fun dog walk filled with sun and sea air on Sunday the 6^th of October, along the Umhlanga Promenade. 

This 2,5km dog walk is a non-profit community event brought to you by Absolute Pets in collaboration with Hill’s Pet Nutrition.

Other than providing a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your favourite four-legged friend, the event helps raise funds and food donations for local animal welfare and promotes responsible dog walking which ensures that public spaces stay dog-friendly.

At the event you’ll have the chance to interact with and get great advice from local pet businesses from grooming to microchipping and training as well as meet your favourite brands across pet nutrition, tick and flea treatment, toys, treats and more.

Other than a stroll by the seaside, pet parents and their dogs can also enjoy the following:

• The first 150 DOGS who have been entered online will receive a gift bag
• Spot prizes and lucky draw competitions
• Best trick competition
• Microchipping – at R150 per dog
• Pop-up shop (collars, lead, toys,treats, accessories & more)
• Free samples of treats and more

TICKETS:

Purchase tickets here, on Quicket (the first 150 online entries will receive a special gift bag).

You can purchase tickets on the day - CASH ONLY - but we do encourage you to enter online before the event to secure a gift bag

Parking:

Parking tickets for free parking at The Pearls, will be available on a first come first serve basis (limited to 150 tickets)

Helpful tips for the day:

• Bring a bottle of water (each person will receive a free bottle of water at registration but you may want some extra water)
• You may want to bring a blanket or umbrella to set up on the grass area after your walk.
• There will be lucky draw prizes, spot prize and a giveaways so stick around and enjoy the morning with us.

EVENT RULES: 

1. Please PRINT out each ticket per person and BRING IT WITH YOU to the event to be allowed in to the event. The main buyer's ticket reflects the number of dogs that will be allowed entry to the event with their ticket.
2. Please make sure ALL DOGS are on a leash at all times.
3. Please pick up after your dog making use of the UIP poop bag dispensers available along the route. 
4. While all dogs are welcome, please bear in mind that your dog will be around many other dogs so consider whether they are socialised enough, or comfortable enough being around other dogs.
5. No dogs ‘on heat’ allowed.
