There are many ways that one can genuinely express brilliance in life. Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel, Einstein discovered the theory of relativity, and Van Gogh changed the world through art.
And Just like Van Gogh needed a canvas to express the vast depths of his soul with perfectly proportioned colours and textures... so too do the great chefs of our time. In this case, that canvas is bouillabaisse.
This classic Provençal seafood stew is loaded with clams, lobster, and fish. It's situated in a broth delicately flavoured with fennel and pastis, a liquorice-flavoured aperitif.
Celebrity chef Thomas Van Alphen will be taking this great dish to new heights during a special evening hosted at Woodstock's Drifter Brewing Company on the 2nd of November. Expect long communal tables (just like a Provençal country feast!), unique beers by Drifter, wine, and - of course - glorious lashings of a life-changing artwork of a meal: bouillabaisse.
