ABOUT
Movement Medicine and the Mesa practise have been one of my greatest teachers in how to live and be in this world in clear integrity. By understanding and working with the different levels of awareness required as a human being in today's hectic, fast paced world, I have learnt to stay true to myself, my body, my practise. Its only from a space of clear connection to self that we are ready to go into relationship, into the world and offer what we have.
This will be a day of re-connection to our own inner world - taking stock of our elements and what and who we are first, then moving into a grounded, embodied exploration of environment, other and tribe around us.
In Movement Medicine this practise and exploration is known as the Mesa practise and with it we explore spatial fields known as the Micro (self, small, within), Medio (self and field around us) Macro (the space around us, others and interconnection) and the Meta (everything else). It allows us the freedom to take who we are into the world and the courage to stay who we are and know what our boundaries and offerings are as we move into inter-relating in the world around us.
We will dance, mediate and explore these levels of awareness and seeing together.

'Jayne is a passionate dancer, and a lover of the divine essence of life. I have been witness to some of her unfolding story and challenges and the way she has embraced all aspects of 'the journey' with open arms and a willingness to show up and be seen. She is a delight to work with on this path and I recommend any one to dance with her and share the wonderful medicine she is bringing to the world.'
Caroline Carey. Movement Medicine teacher and mentor
'this space, touches me, moves me, takes me to the space where joy and hollow and delight and slow and chaos and peace collide and i find myself, differently each time. i find myself as i am in that moment, its so simple. its just movement. its so exquisite, its body, near body, moving towards itself.'
Hayley Maltz - teacher & poet
Movement Medicine is a body-based movement meditation practice created by Susannah and Ya'Acov Darling Khan. It is a conscious dance practice, integrating shamanic, therapeutic, scientific and artistic intelligence. It marries ancient and modern wisdom, offering transformative experiences that re-connect human beings to the power of nature and the possibility of full-bodied, full-hearted, open-minded living.
