Marking his first 100 days in office, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde will address the Cape Town Press Club on the current challenges facing the province. Specifically, he will speak about the deployment of the South Africa National Defence Force in areas in and around the Cape Flats, and about safety on the N2 following a spate of recent attacks on motorists at Strand.
In his state of the province address Winde said his first priority is to create more jobs and more economic opportunities. He will speak on cross-party unity to tackle poverty and unemployment in the province.
He will take questions.
