Hilton Schilder

The musicality and versatility of Cape Town born, International Jazz artist, Hilton Schilder, has undoubtedly helped to mould the sound of what is recognised today as Cape Jazz. Multi-instrumentalist, Schilder, who has collaborated with almost every legendary Cape Musician, is recognised, arguably, as one of the most recorded musicians in South Africa, having featured on more than 40 albums covering Genres of Jazz, Rock, Pop, World Music and Classical. 


Steve Newman

Steve Newman is an acoustic guitarist who plays solo but has also been part of several groups. He has been collaborating with fellow South African guitarist, Tony Cox, for thirty years. He is also one of the Aquarian Quartet, consisting of Tony Cox, Syd Kitchen (deceased 2011), Greg Georgiades and Steve Newman. He was a member of Mondetta, a self-described “world music group”, with Gito Baloi (of Tananas) and Wendy Oldfield. The group Tananas (contemporary world-influenced originals) has played festivals & concerts in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, France, Spain, Sweden, Canary Islands, UK, USA, Namibia, Mozambique and ZIMBABWE. 


Peter Ndlala

Bassist Peter Ndlala was born in Ronderbosch in 1973 and later moved to Wynberg.He now stays in the

location called Langa and is one of the most beautifull out skirts in Cape Town.He has a unique style and sound that is so powerful and sensitive.He leads you on a musical journey that is characterised by passion.He phrases his solo's into melodies that force's you to sing along through out the night.He studied a two year course at M.A.P.P (Music Action for People's Progress.)


Carlo Fabe:

Since 2000, Carlo has appeared in a variety of studio and live settings, performing and/or recording with artists such as The Cape Jazz Ensemble, Thandi Klaasen, Ezra Ngcukana, Sathima Sea Benjamin, Sylvia Mdunyelwa, Errol Dyers, Robbie Jansen, Tete Mbambisa’s Big Sound, Mark Fransman. Soi Soi Gqeza, Hilton Schilder, Steve Newman, James Kibby Project, Derrick Schippers, Erika Lundi and the Solms-Delta Music Trust Ensemble’s to name just a few.
