MASQUED BALL TICKET STRUCTURE

In order to keep on using this venue and to make it more comfortable for all of you, we have to once again limit the number of vehicles on site. Last year we implemented the vehicle levy system to this effect: Although it did radically reduce the number of vehicles and your car pooling efforts were amazing, we still had far too many vehicles in the main festival area taking up beautiful camping and party space. 

This year we have to implement a different structure in order to go ahead with a secure and comfortable event. 

The tickets will be sold in two phases:

Phase 1 tickets or Drive In tickets will be released first and will allow people to bring their vehicles on site. The vehicle levy will once again apply and you are strongly encouraged to car pool to this event to reduce the cost per person. The vehicle levy is R200 per car and is reduced by around R50 for each additional person you have in the car. 

- 1 person per vehicle: R200
- 2 people per vehicle: R150
- 3 people per vehicle: R100
- 4 or more people per vehicle: R50

We therefore strongly encourage you to travel in a car with 4 or more people. 

Please note:
- Phase 1 tickets will be available both online and at the official ticket outlets. 
- If there are people in the car who have a Phase 2 ticket they are not counted when the vehicle levy is calculated. Preferably all people in the vehicle must be in possession of Phase 1 tickets. 
- Proceeds from the vehicle levy are donated to social upliftment programs in the area. Last year your vehicle levy money paid for the upgrading and refurbishment of the local Lekker Bekkies Creche in an economically challenged area of Gordon’s Bay. 


Phase 2 tickets or Walk In tickets will be released once Phase 1 tickets are sold out. People who are in possession of these tickets will not be allowed to come on site with a vehicle. Travel options for them are:
- Organise your own transport such as a shuttle or taxi to drop you off.
- Make use of our free shuttle service from Gordon’s bay to the venue. Details to follow. 

Please note that if not enough people car pool to the event and the vehicle capacity on site is exceeded you may be required to park at the shuttle collection point and take a shuttle EVEN IF YOU ARE IN THE POSSESSION OF A PHASE 1 TICKET.

The Annual Masqued Ball is a dress up event. The best dressed person will win a season ticket to all alien safari events next season. To enter please email a picture of yourself at the event to [email protected] no later than one week after the event. Anticipate, Participate, One Love ♥

Gate opens at 10 am on Saturday. 

- Take the N2 from Cape Town.
- Take the Gordon's Bay turn off to the right before Sir Lowry's Pass.
- Go to the T-junction.
- At the T-junction turn left on the R44.
- Follow the signs.
