ABOUT

To our favourite influencers and networkers – this is your Call to Courage!

Please join The Human Resource Practice at an exclusive Dare to Lead™ breakfast where we will share with you an overview of the foundational skill sets of this courageous work.

Having recently returned from our training in Texas to be Certified as Dare to Lead™ Facilitators by Dr. Brené Brown, we would love to offer you an overview of the work and how it can be applied in your life and business.

“Is there anyone that does not need to navigate uncertainty and risk on a regular basis?

To be alive is to be vulnerable; to be a leader is to be vulnerable every minute of the day. You don’t get to opt out.

Vulnerability is terrifying and it’s dangerous and scary, and the only guarantee I can give you is it’s not as terrifying or as dangerous or scary as getting to the end of our lives and having to ask ourselves, what if I would have shown up?”

 Dr. Brené Brown

What is Dare to Lead™?

Dare to Lead™ is a specific courage-building program designed to be run in organizations. This is based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown who studied courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy for two decades. Brené recently completed a seven-year study on brave leadership resulting in her latest book, Dare to Lead.

The skill sets that make up courage are not new; they’ve been aspirational leadership skills for as long as there have been leaders. We just haven’t had the courage for real talk about courage. But it’s time.

The goal of Dare to Lead™ is to share everything Dr Brown has learned about taking off the armour and showing up as leaders in a skills-based and actionable workshop and playbook.

To scale daring leadership and build courage in teams and organizations, we have to cultivate a culture in which brave work, tough conversations, and whole hearts are the expectation, and armor is not necessary or rewarded. We have to be vigilant about creating a culture in which people feel safe, seen, heard and respected.

It's a game-changer.
