Oakfields College Performing Arts (Drama) presents: Oedipus Rex

The just king Oedipus, ruler of the city of Thebes is summoned from his palace by the wails and cries of his subjects. He finds them, as well as the rest of the city ravaged by plague. Begging for relief from this apparent curse which has struck the city, Oedipus seeks the help of the blind prophet Tiresias in order to trace the cause. Chaos ensues as the truth about Oedipus and the plague gets revealed in a story of prophecy, anger, incest, arrogance, ego and above all… pride.
