ABOUT

The Swing Café is a place where you can enjoy slightly left-of-center live performances and great music with soul, staged in a bastion of Cape Town live entertainment; Mercury Live and Lounge in Zonnebloem.

Hosted every Tuesday by Scottish poet Miss Kiki, you can see a diverse selections of stand-up comedians, bands, singer / songwriters, poets, variety acts from all over South Africa and abroad ply their craft on stage.

During the rest of the evening resident DJs JP Silver and Django, both known for their eclectic taste, will curate the music.

The Summer 2015 Season runs every Tuesday from 27 January until 5 May. Doors open 19:30, with free entry before 20:00 and R40 per person thereafter. No person under 18 unfortunately, IDs will be checked.

Seating works on first come first served basis, no bookings will be taken. The show starts promptly 20:30 and concludes around 22:00 with a post show Happy Hour and DJ until close.
