Casta Diva presents - two amazing talented, devoted and aspiring young tenors. They will be taking you on a musical tour in between various Spanish, Mexican and Italian music treasures… This will include some famous aria’s, popular fine classics all the way from Mexico, Spain and Italy …

What to expect; true love for music, passion and beautiful, music that will take you to many places, soothing voices, delicious food, excellent service, a night to be remembered.


Ndima Richard Ndzombane (a 33-year-old Tenor) born and raised in Port Elizabeth. His musical journey started at a young age, during his primary school days. Later his late uncle further exposed him to classical music. Through his years in high school, he was a member of the school choir and represented the Gauteng province in 2002 with the national school competitions. He was then also appointed as the assistant choir master.

Due to his developed passion for music Richard enrolled at the Tshwane University of Technology to study Vocal Arts, majoring in performance. During this period, he was part of various student productions, namely, such as “Un Giorno di Regno” by G. Verdi, “Messiah” by G. Handel and the Mozart’s reports.

Professionally, he was part of the Opera Africa’s productions of “Princess Magogo” which travelled through Europe, “I Capuletti e I Montechi” and “Aida” and the “Mikado” Miniature performed in Pretoria at Casta Diva’s Vissi d’Arte and the Catalina Theatre in Durban just to mention a few.

Since 2010 Casta Diva Boutique Hotel had welcomed this young charismatic tenor in its fold, between 2010-2019, Richard has hosted various solo performances and participated in many Ensemble performances by entertaining Casta Diva’s patrons while they dined away and were captured in a musical dream.

 

Kagiso Boroko (31 years) hails from Hammanskraal, at school, he showed a deep interest in choral music, joining his school choir in 2003. During this year he also joined the group ‘Sweet Voice Masters’.  


Being a member of the ‘Sweet Voice Masters’ he realized that he loves performing and as a member of this group he performed and participated in the various events, competitions and performances, to name a few: The Unisa Music Foundation Competition, the Altron Awards in 2007 at the Sun City Palace, at the Yamaha young talent Rocks Competition and at the Caltivaria Festival.


Kagiso successfully auditioned in 2010 for “The Black Tie Ensemble’s” Incubator Scheme. During the next three years he actively participated in various BTE productions. During 2011 he sang the role of the ‘Page’ in the production of Amahl”, and the role of Pinellino in “Gianni Schicchi” by Giacomo Puccini. During 2012 he participated in productions like: Power of the Voice, Verdi - Opera Gala,  A Spring Gala, One Voice - An African Celebration, A Christmas Concert and Carols by Candlelight.


Kagiso passed his final BTE assessment successfully, since he become a soloists for Gauteng Operas, where he has sung Gastone in La Traviata, Hond in Tronkvoel, /A!kunta in Words from a broken String and Politgray in Out of Time for Gauteng Opera’s season of CULA MZANSI. He was selected for the BTE VO1SS: Forté and he is currently an active artist in the Loveline Arts Foundation performances.

 

This special and unique performance will take place on the 24 of August from 19:30 performance will be starting at 20:00, surcharge of R 150 will be applied.
