Happy Hippo is well known for being a back packers but for the last year and a few months it's rooftop has been used as a comedy venue, managed by Cyril Basker who is a comedian and has shared the Happy Hippo stage with many comedians such like Carvin Goldstone, Robby Collins, Tats Nkonzo, Khanyiso Bunu, Neil Green and many more. Happy Hippo is a rooftop venue one of its first in Durban, we meet every Thursday and every week is a new line up of comedians ranging from Durban, South Africa and even International. It's a beautiful venue with a garden area where you can relax and chill with friends and family before and after the show. Happy Hippo is Durbans only weekly Comedy Club after the Winston Closed its doors to its weekly Wednesday Show. Cyril Basker has been running it every week on a Thursday and starts at 8 PM.

Comedy Club been running for the last year and a few months in the Ushaka Marine World Region, every Thursday at Happy Hippo we have comedy nights with hilariously funny comic from Durban, South Africa and even Internationally. The stage has been graced by comedians such as Carvin Goldstone, Donovan Goliath, Neil Green, Jem Atkins, Robby Collins and many more. Starts at 8PM to 10PM, come have a great evening with friends and family.
