ABOUT
Hazendal Wine Estate’s popular Jazz Club is proud to host a Cape Town jazz favourite, Ramon Alexander.
It was his brother’s love for American smooth jazz that introduced a young Ramon, a classical pianist, to jazz. A trip to the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown cemented his love for the genre and by the time he was 18, he was tutored by Cape Town piano and vibes player Merton Barrow at his jazz workshop. Fitting to his performance on our premium wine farm, Ramon studied winemaking before committing himself to his first love: music. He is a regular on the Cape Town jazz scene – both as pianist and composer – playing a repertoire of Cape-composed music (both historic and modern) at established venues such as the Crypt.

Tickets: R195 per person. We invite all our guests to come and enjoy a wine tasting, glass of wine or one of our signature cocktails before the show in our luxurious Wine Tasting Lounge. Our premium, award-winning wines will also be on sale at a special rate for our jazz loving guests. The Zakuski Russian-inspired tapas-style menu will be available.
