Hailing from Wolmer, and living close to the legendary Piet Botha, it was inevitable that these 'Wolmers' would jam together.

“Piet has always been my role model in Rock and Roll, he has shown me the ways and I have great admiration for him. I remember as a youngster how he would play rhythm on end to give me the opportunity to practice my lead riffs… amazing patience, and a great guy!”

He then joined Jack-Hammer during 2004-2007, and still often joins his idol on stage. "My JackHammer years were tough, lots of gigs, lots of dinking, lots of partying, but so rewarding!” Anthonie moved on to produce a few local Afrikaans and African artists and was the drive behind the Trace stars competition across Africa - displaying his musical involvement in industry both on and off stage.

In 2017 Anthonie formed the sensational Hard Rock Band - The Devil’s Party Band consisting of his three brothers Lanie, Chris and Heine, and also his son Heine; The core band is made up by his great muso bra’s Jason Oosthuisen and Werner Bosman. The Devil’s Party Band immediately blew crowds away…. Valiant Swart’s comment being “I haven’t seen such a gatskop band since the Thysis and Not My Dog days…”

“My inspiration in music comes from my family. Lanie always ensures I don’t play bullshit music, Chris reminds me that less is more, and Heine keeps telling me they’re both wrong… just turn up the distortion. The greatest part is that my son Heine has followed in our footsteps, and upped the game…. he keeps us pushing harder every day.”
