DNU - - - Swellendam Winter School - The Pragmatic Art of Growing Organic Vegetables (2)

Mon Jul 15, 14:00 - Fri Jul 19, 10:00

Perkin Farm, Leeurivier

ABOUT

A well-designed productive vegetable garden brings peace, joy and your own nutrient dense food – all contributions to your well-being!Learn theory and practical techniques with your facilitator, Wendy Crawford, in a garden she has established for an elderly lady in the picturesque valley of the Leeurivier, just outside Swellendam.

Come and experience directly the connection between tending a healthy garden and enjoying healthy food. The soaring prices of food is a sobering reality and is not equivalent to the quality of the food we are able to purchase. Leave this course with the real possibility of reducing your grocery bills.

Printed notes will be provided, as well as hearty laughter, gardening jokes and lunches made from the garden’s bounty… A visit to another nearby garden will accentuate how each person has their unique way and joy of growing veg.
