Silversmith Saturdays with Gen in June

So, sweet people, it's actually the end of term. But.. we'll be continuing into the holidays with a special 4-class block in June with Genevieve. Just for you.

Join us in our fully-equipped jeweller's workshop to make your own silver jewellery. Learn the basic techniques of silversmithing to express your ideas and tap into your creativity in a very unique, hands-on and practical way. It's such a great feeling to be able to say you've made it yourself! Classes are small and intimate and a perfect way to get your weekly dose of creative time-out.

Adults of all ages and all levels of experience welcome. All classes are self-propelled (you design your own projects) and tuition is tailored accordingly.

Class fees exclude materials and consumables which are available for purchase as and when you need them (approx. R200 - R250 for your first project). Unfortunately no lost wax casting facilities are available, but in these classes you'll learn the process of hand-fabricating silver - smelting, rolling, annealing, filing, soldering, polishing and more. We use these techniques to make earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces.. or even spoons, decorative mobiles and silver salt bowls. This is the age-old art of the silversmith.

This block of classes will be held on 4 consecutive Saturday afternoons 2pm - 5pm: 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th June 2019

Please note: We need at least 3 participants booked and paid in advance for the full month in order to run this 4-class block. In the unlikely event that we do not receive the minimum number of bookings, this event will be cancelled and anyone who has already purchased a ticket will be refunded in full.
