The 100-year-old Melville Kruis congregation will once again host their very special and much anticipated, annual Boeremark on the church grounds.
This is one of the church’s two big fundraising projects. It is a community project and everyone's involved.The church has many ministries that they serve and the funds raised will be used for this purpose. They sponsor a less fortunate child or an elderly person to attend the market and enjoy the day with them too.
On 31st May there will be a street cafe/roadhouse at the church in Fourth Avenue, Melville. It will be open from 5pm and people will be able to buy jaffles, boerewors, hot dogs, lamb curry, melkkos, chicken burgers to name but a few delicious meals... The whole family can enjoy a hearty meal & outdoor movie.
On 1st June the fun run/fun walk (2,5 and 5 km) will take place early from 07:30 am.
People can also brace the winter weather with treats like pancakes, vetkoek, curry and rice, roosterkoek, puddings and many, many more. There will also be various stalls with exhibits.
Our annual raffle contest also includes fantastic prizes to be won, such as a full week’s holiday at Dikhololo Game Reserve, an iPad, cash prizes, spa vouchers and much, much more!
Children will be entertained in a large and safe play area with face painting, an animal farm (for petting), candy floss, soft serve ice-cream, pop-corn, sweets & treats and lots of entertainment (a jumping castle, parachute ride, and "boere-sport" games) to look forward to.
