WindWorx Fanfare Opening Concert

The 9th annual WindWorx Fanfare is staging its opening concert at the Cape Town City Hall on 10 May. The programme includes the SA Army Band (dir. Major Vernon Michels), the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Wind Ensemble (dir. Faan Malan), the WindWorx Symphonic Wind Ensemble (dir. Sean Kierman) and visiting from the USA, the Star of the North Concert Band under direction of Wayne Feller. Conductors from the preceding conductor's course will also be on the podium. Works to be performed include Suite Francaise by Milhaud and Four Gypsy Dances by Puszta.
